Eurocentres Canada offers a wide variety of sporting, cultural and social activities. We are committed to providing our students with a strong and extensive extra-curricular program. Both the Vancouver and Toronto schools offer school activities every Wednesday and Friday. Class schedules have been created so that all classes finish early on these days to allow all students to participate. Each of these school-sponsored events is attended by teaching staff to further your opportunities to speak and improve your English. Each week there is at least one Conversation Club opportunity. The Conversation Club is offered to all levels of students free of charge.
Some of the activities which are arranged for students in Vancouver include: beach volleyball, soccer, softball, skiing/snowboarding, movies, Capilano Suspension Bridge, karaoke, Salsa Dance lesson, rollerblading/cycling in Stanley Park, ocean kayaking in English Bay, Granville Island Brewery Tour, Playland Amusement Park, Vancouver Art Gallery, Vancouver Museum, and the world famous Vancouver Aquarium in addition to professional sports games such as Vancouver Canucks NHL ice hockey games, the Canadian Football League's BC Lions and Vancouver Canadians baseball games.
Our Activities Coordinators are open to ideas and encourage students to suggest activities that they want to do. Our Coordinators have a wealth of information about what is going on in the city, so they can recommend places to go and events to see throughout the year. We can tell you on what days different attractions have discounts, when festivals are happening and schedules for community centres so you can stay healthy during your stay. In the summer we have school barbecues at beaches and parks and in the winter we celebrate the holiday season with Christmas parties and dinners. Do you want to join a local orchestra or band? Do you want to join a sports club? A soccer team? A beach volleyball team? We can assist you in complementing your studies with activities and events which expand your learning experience and help you meet and make friends with Canadians.
Each weekend our partner tour companies offer friendly, high-quality tours to various locations around British Columbia accompanied by native English-speaking Canadians who interact with the students in a fun, friendly and informative way. Eurocentres Vancouver offers weekend tours to the Rocky Mountains, Whistler Mountain and Ski Resort, Victoria and Tofino on Vancouver Island, and the occasional trip to Seattle, Washington in the United States. Our full-time Activities Coordinator is available daily to sign students up for activities and weekend tours, and answer any questions about what to do, where to go, and how to get there in and around our cities.
